Resumen
The demands on modern automotive cooling systems have introduced the need for accurate analytical modeling techniques to aid in the cooling system design process. Two cooling airflow models have been developed to predict the flowrate and pressure drop for two particular flow effects. The first effect is flow through a condenser and radiator with unequal face areas, and the second effect is flow through a condenser and radiator with a gap or space between them. Experimental flowstand data were used to formulate and verify these area difference and gap models.
