Flue gas desulfurization using membrane-based phase contactor

Abstract

A number of topics are covered in this chapter. First, sulfur dioxide (SO2) removal processes are briefly reviewed, as is the urgency of why new technology is needed in improving this process. A concise discussion is then presented on membrane technology. Finally, a brief literature review is presented.
