Abstract
The development of low cost microprocessors has led to a revolution in the capability of consumer products. Intense competition has driven customers to expect significant product features along with flat or even declining prices. The use of innovative circuit design coupled with increasingly complex software has enabled manufacturers to meet customer expectations while maintaining or reducing product cost and achieving time to market requirements.
