Abstract

Based on Bandura's social learning theory (1977), social cognitive theory (1986) and Yando et al. (1978) this study will examine the effect of model similarity (i.e., gender) and the effect of model type (i.e., learning/skilled) on children's acquisition, retention, and transfer of a novel motor task.
