An unlearning center

Abstract

Thesis Statement Architecture, through form and space can affect the interaction of people, and therefore, change perceptions and facilitate resolutions to the problems of social intolerance and environmental neglect. Facility Type An UnLearning Center - The facility will be a place to actively unlearn the habits of our society which degredate the people of, and the planet on which we all live, in order to learn better ways of doing things. It will house several areas for activities and projects related to each issue, as well as an active greenhouse, an auditorium for lectures, and classrooms for smaller, more specialized needs. Project Scope This project will help to connect the diverse groups of people that live in the urban environment, while offering them ways to better their environment. It is important for users to feel as though the Center is an active part of their urban environment.
