Abstract

Project Statement To establish a "learning from architecture" idea in the built environment by educating the future generations about regional culture, technology and sustainability through creative means of design expression. Facility Statement A Creative Learning Center in Santa Fe seems only natural given its strong local art culture. The program will consist of facility, located on a | government owned lot in the "Museum District" of Santa Fe. The site was chosen for its unity of the Arts District and the residential community. Context Statement Santa Fe, New Mexico has a strong culture with regards to art, architecture and local history. The "Santa Fe Style" of architecture or| "Southwest Traditional" architecture that has become popular across the country, is a standard of local building. The site , though in a governmental museum complex, is predominantly surrounded by residential properties and making the connection between the two becomes a priority.
