New ways in old places

Abstract

This program describes the renovation and addition to the 1889 Land Title Block Building in downtown Fort Worth. The city is a key location for this particular project because of its rich heritage and wonderful examples of preserving historic resources. The program supplies information for the designing of a facility which will house a 14 person architect's firm and a small museum with approximately 8,000 sq. ft. The museum will educate people of the history of the area through festivals, art displays, and brochures. The architect's firm will play a more active role. It has a direct relationship on present construction and should strive to generate new responses for old places.
