Hazard mitigation, specifically that of high winds and tornadoes, should reduce the loss of human life and property through the principles described in Gandemer and Helary Moreau ' s research of tropical dwellings including exposure, construction shape, and reduction of roo f loads through pressure balance and ventilation.
