Abstract
New mapping from Capilla Peak 7.5 quadrangel suggests that the northern Monte Largo Shear Zones is approximately 15-30 meters wide and strain is localized along the contact between the Sevilleta metarhyolite of the hangingwall and Blue Springs quartzite of the footwall. The shear zone is suggested to represent the boundary along which two structural fold knappes became juxtaposed.
