Abstract
Discusses how courts have upheld the exercise of long arm statues to enforce marital obligations. The courts of several states have upheld the exercise of long-arm jurisdiction over nonresidents in suits to enforce marital obligations. The Supreme Court of the United States, however, has not addressed the issue. The author believes that in personam jurisdiction must be properly acquired as a solution to the problem of enforcing alimony payments from nonresidents.
