Abstract

Discusses the Texas Court of Civil Appeals at Houston’s case Members Mutual Insurance Co. v. Muckleroy. In Muckleroy, the court held that the 1973 revisions to rule 277 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure intended to allow courts greater discretion when crafting jury instructions. This includes allowing the submission of broad issues in a negligence case.
