Abstract
The treatise, Texas Property Taxes by Jay D. Howell should be praised as the first attempt at creating a definitive source of Texas property tax and Texas property tax administration. The book’s twenty-five chapters are divided into the following four categories: taxable property, assessment activities, collection activities, and taxpayer litigation.
