Abstract

Surveys recent interesting opinions from civil procedure related cases regarding federal jurisdiction and pre-trial procedure. In the area of federal jurisdiction, the more interesting of these opinions revolved around the in forma pauperis prisoner complaint and the reviewability of remand orders. In the area of pre-trial procedure, the Fifth Circuit made some important observations on the disqualification of judges and the relation back of pleading amendments.
