Abstract
Survey of United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit’s decisions regarding the Federal Rules of Evidence from September 1, 1977, through June 30, 1978. The survey includes several topics regarding federal evidence including the admissibility of other-crimes, wrongs, or acts evidence under rule 404(b), the confidential marital communications privilege under Rule 501, admissibility of evidence of witness’ character and conduct under rule 608(b), impeachment by prior conviction under rule 609, and unavailability of a witness under rule 804.
