Abstract
Transcript of the inaugural speech at the Strasburger & Price Lecture Series hosted by the Texas Tech School of Law. Former Fifth Circuit Judge and current United States Attorney General, Griffin B. Bell, calls for improvements to be made in the administration of justice. He advocates for a two-part legislative measure for the implementation of such improvements. These measures include following three priority proposals: Enlarge the civil and criminal jurisdiction of federal magistrates, limit the diversity of citizenship jurisdiction of the federal courts, and use arbitration in the federal courts for certain types of civil cases which only involve money damages.
