Abstract
Discusses the development of Social Security and reviews the problems that have arisen. This comment traces the evolution of the social insurance provisions of the Social Security Act of 1935. It also reviews the fiscal problems confronting the social insurance programs and recommend solutions for some of the long-range fiscal problems in the old-age, survivors, and disability insurance programs administered by the Social Security Administration.
