Abstract

Examines the Texas homestead exemption and ways in which it may be terminated. The homestead in Texas has been one of the most carefully guarded rights since its inception in 1839.' Yet, certain ways do exist in which the right to claim the homestead exemption can be lost. The authors discuss the effect that recent statutory changes will have on the homestead exemption.
