Abstract
Because the Fifth Circuit's judicial shoreline will be reduced, the number of admiralty decisions rendered by this circuit will likewise be substantially reduced. The precedent generated from this court, however, will continue to impact the law of admiralty as it reaches upon and beneath the seas. This article focuses on significant decisions rendered during the survey period concerning (1) the Jones Act and general maritime actions, (2) developments in other actions at law, and (3) several unique jurisdictional applications to the law of admiralty.
