Evaluation of zinc methionine and chromium supplementation on rumen parameters, amino acid uptake, performance, and carcass characteristics in beef steers

Trace minerals have been utilized extensively by producers to improve animal efficiency. In this body of work, a zinc methionine complex was utilized to determine effects on rumen parameters and chromium and methionine were observed to have effects in gene expression, protein accumulation, and amino acid uptake in bovine satellite cells.
