Abstract

Psychologists have been interested in relating various factors pertaining to occupational choice for many years. Such occupationally related factors as intelligence, education, physical ability, aptitudes, environmental variables, interests, and personality variables have been studied. The majority of the personality research has concentrated on finding relationships between occupational choice and (1) interests, (2) needs, and (3) .personality traits of individuals employed in certain occupations. The results of these studies showed relationships between various occupational and personality factors; however, little is known of the interrelationships between these factors.
