Abstract

Examines the issue of whether section 2-401 of the Uniform Commercial Code supersedes the title transfer requirement of each state’s statutes on motor vehicle title transfer. The author comes to several conclusions in deciding what the means of perfecting a security interest with a certificate of title should be and the meaning of the code.
