As architects we must design spaces that are functional and beneficial to those who use them, as well as, accommodate the space to "fit" within its region. This design will consider the historical and modem features within the region. The facility should promote a design that "fits" its region through spatial organization, orientation, and the accessibility to create an ergonomically and secure facility for those who use it. The town of Keller has maintained a real "country living" atmosphere even with the increase in modem development over the past twenty-five years . This community prides itself on hometown "flavor" just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the growing technologies of the BIG city life. Through the design of an equine hospital, I will respond to Kellers context and region capturing both the old Southwestern ranch style, as well as, the contemporary technology to create an aesthetic quality of casual elegance.
