Abstract

Human physical characteristics as well as environmental factors locate an individual within an environment. The degree of progression by mobility will fluctuate, depending upon the attributes of the environment and the obstructions located there. The concept of mobility is the ability to displace an individual from a position toward an achievable goal of the next point. The ability of designers and architects to create environments, which allow all people to progress forward toward a goal , is directly tied to their ability to understand the limits of the human body (and design with the physics of the body's interactions within the spaces) .
