Abstract
Prior to his death, Dr.Martin Luther King expressed to a longtime friend, Harry Belafonte, that he feared he'd mislead his people into a "burning house". The short stories within this collection aim to address and center the black experience as well as the continued issues surrounding racism and the aftermath of the world that Dr.King left behind.
