The idea of this program is to investigate the importance of metaphor in architecture. The use of metaphor in architecture can be the driving force behind the concept for the Block Island Educational Aquarium. This building will imply the metaphor of the shrimp which is in the crustacean family. The natural organization of the shrimp will determine the orientation of the facility. The shrimp will be the concept and driving force behind the facility.
