Abstract
Professor Spain discusses the challenges of providing civil legal assistance to rural America. Some of these include higher costs and funding restrictions on the types of representation allowable for public law organizations. Professor Spain concludes that these and other challenges can be met by greater integration of pro bono work with the work of public legal clinics.
