Abstract
Discusses the issue of whether a professional degree is martial property, which Texas has not yet formally addressed. This comment examines the law of states which do not treat professional degrees as divisible marital property, and states that treat professional degrees as marital property which can be valued and distributed in a divorce. Finally, this comment proposes legislation that Texas should consider adopting to create a uniform position regarding the treatment of a professional degree at the time of divorce.
