Songs of Many Nations: An Examination of Selected Print Materials and Companion Recordings Published by Cooperative Recreation Service, Inc., 1958-1964

As stated, the purpose of this study was to investigate recorded materials published through Cooperative Recreation Service and World Around Songs from 1958- 1964 and to examine them in the context of related print material. Only a small percentage of the pocketbook anthologies with accompanying teaching records remain in circulation. Of the 28 unique songbooks identified by Larry N. Holcomb in his 1972 dissertation "A History of the Cooperative Recreation Service" as having a sample or complete recordings, this researcher found and procured 23 songbooks and 13 complete companion albums.
