Reconfiguraciones de la dicotomía centro/perifera: género, clase y región en La papallona de Narcís Oller y Los pazos de Ulloa de Emilia Pardo Bazán

This thesis pretends to analyze how La papallona by Narcís Oller and Los pazos de Ulloa by Emilia Pardo Bazán depict gender, social class and region (Catalonia and Galicia) in 19th Century Spain. It examines how both authors, who embody the realist movement (although in different languages), diverge on their views of gender, social class, and peripheral regions.
