Abstract
All types of decision-makers—enterprises, individuals, government agencies, industry groups, and so on—need understandings about the major characteristics of the current and potential milieu in which their decisions are made. Relevant general perspectives are required both for strategic decision-making and as contexts for analyzing matters of more particular concern and planning more specific undertakings. The purpose to which this work is directed is contribution to such general understandings and perspectives.
More specifically, the objectives of this study are examination of the nature of 1992 thrust, consideration of general implications for Spain, and identification of possibilities for change in the levels and patterns of Spanish agricultural trade. The orientation from which the work is undertaken includes concern about the implications for trade between Spain and the United States.
