Criminal Law and Procedure

Survey of United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit’s criminal law and procedure decisions for the period from September 1, 1977, through June 30, 1978. The authors have chosen those cases exemplifying the Fifth Circuit’s approach in developing new law and applying recent Supreme Court decisions. The survey includes various topics including the following: search and seizure, arrests, right to counsel, guilty pleas, and sentencing.
