Abstract

Often times, in the city of Las Vegas, buildings pretend to be something that they are indeed not. It starts at the skin of the structure as you casually stroll along the facade of Ancient Rome, Venice, or historic Paris made of steel, stucco, and plastic . This is carried inside vi a grand illusions of flashing lights, impressive gardens, and seemingly endless storefronts of an European city . All of these things mask the sole driving force of the new mega-hotel/ casino-money. The only truth that is revealed by the building is which one of the monstrosities generates the most money, which means their luck is better than yours. In order tor architecture to tell the truth, the masks must be stripped away in revelation of the facility's true function.
