Thesis Statement A dynamic architecture develops from the coexistence of public and private space through the identification and recognition of influential factors, characteristics, similarities, and differences of that space. Scope of Project This small resort hotel, of about 50 units, will provide the necessary 'get-away' from the stress of daily life. Located In Pilot Point, Texas on Lake Ray Roberts, guests will enjoy the scenic views, glowing Texas sunsets, beautiful natural landscape, and several Texas State Parks. Facility Statement A small resort, of about 30 units, and restaurant that mediates and encourages privacy within the public realm. The facility will accomodate resort guests, restaurant patrons, as well as provide means for receptions and small gatherings. Context Statement The proposed site will be placed on Lake Ray Roberts located in Pilot Point, Texas (Denton County). Located about 50 miles from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, guests will be able to enjoy day trips to the surrounding sites, museums, historic landmarks, and shopping.
