Shift: An essay in parts

'Shift: An Essay in Parts' is a book-length lyric essay about home. It is about what constitutes a home, who constitutes it, and it attempts to answer the question, “What makes a home, a home?” This long lyric essay draws from both western and Indian architectural theory in ways that highlight both the arbitrariness and the intentionality involved in how we build and conceive our homes.
