Abstract

The density, orientation, and kinematics of structures were analyzed at various distances from the Montosa Fault in order to characterize the damage zone. The results show that the width of the damage zone varies depending on host rock lithology. Within sedimentary rocks, the damage zone extends approximately 210 m from the Montosa Fault. Within the Priest pluton (granite), the damage zone extends 135 m from the fault.
