A comparative study of lower-class attitudes toward education and toward the school

The major problem to be investigated in this thesis is that while the lower-class values education, it does not like the school and j feels alienated from the school, Riessman, in writing about the "culturally deprived child," has pointed to this as one of the most pressing problems of the lower-class.
