Abstract

Examines contemporary changes to the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure relevant to their effects on district court trial practice. The author subdivides these changes into three broad topic areas: those that modify pretrial procedure, changes to trial procedure, and other miscellaneous rule alterations. The author does not attempt to extrapolate the effects of these, asserting that their influence can only be appraised through the measured process of daily practice.
