Abstract
Discusses Kentucky case, Shapero v. Kentucky Bar Association which examines targeted direct mailing which is in violation of Kentucky Supreme Court Rule 3.135(5)(b)(i). The ruling was appealed to the Kentucky Supreme Court. Eventually, the United States Supreme Court struck down the rule as violative of first amendment protections for commercial speech. The article provides discussion and history of commercial speech and professional advertising.
