Abstract
Technology should be used as the primary form-giver when designing in regions where the architecture must withstand the inevitable and uncontrollable forces of violent hurricanes. A residence built in a hurricane-prone region should be designed to provide protection against the most violent wind storms, meet the needs of its users, and fit into its surrounding context. Identity and physical comfort should be heavily considered when building a structure in the new Presidential Estates gated community of Dade County, Florida due to its unique culture and extreme weather conditions.
