A senior/community center and living units for the elderly

This program is to explore the aspects of architecture which provide comfort, ty manipulating the space that is designKi Man generally Uves in a spece that is designed ty another man The attention given to this space becomes a very powerful tool that can sh^3e our feelings. D ^ stated in his book, " Einvironmentscanbe used to manipulate people."' The facUity to be constructed wiU be in two phases. ThefinstiiTasewiUbeaSenior Community Center combined with Independent Living Urits. The second phase wiU be Semi-Care arri Continuous Care Units. The project is designed to provide a better quaUty of Ufe for the elderiy . This wiU give the elderiy a place that wiU address the issue of comfort which their current residence may not provide. The faciUty wiU be located in Clovis> a town on the eastern side of the State of IV(5W Mexico. Thislocationwill provide a desitaUe site in which the issues of comfort can be explored The east side of the site consists of housing and a shoppirig maU exists on the west side. The program wiU address the aspects of architecture which provide comfort.
