Abstract
Professor Sutton examines the role of universities following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. She explains that the structure of universities will change going forward as universities will utilize an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems. Professor Sutton explains that the separate university departments will have to work with one another in order to provide adequate support for homeland security. The Texas Tech University Task Force on Anti-Terrorism and Public Security exemplifies a university approach to homeland security problem solving. Professor Sutton describes the work performed by the Task Force and provides some of the Task Force’s recommendations.
