A new model for the simulation of dynamic clinical trials

With increased demand for evidence based medicine and individualized care for patients with a chronic illness in recent years, dynamic clinical trials has become a growing area of health research. On the other hand, switched systems, an important area of control theory, seems to be innately suitable for use as a model in dynamic clinical trials. This dissertation establishes a relationship between the two quite disparate areas and proposes a switched linear model for dynamic clinical trials. Furthermore, the dissertation gets an optimal regime through some simulations for this model by an iterative method.
