North Pointe Elementary

Thesis Statement: By creating a stimulating and safe learning environment, children can develop a variety of skills that enhance the early development of their minds which in turn contributes to their concept of order and space. Scope: North Pointe Elementary School will be a place for children to learn and grow. The school will provide a safe, nurturing environment for faculty and students. North Pointe will consist of classrooms and administration spaces. Along with a dining hall, a gymnasium, playgrounds, and a nurse's area to provide for the physical needs as well as the emotional needs of the children. Context Statement: The site will be located on the North West side of Lubbock in the new McDougal project named North Pointe. North Pointe is located between the streets of Erskine, Ursuline, and East Quaker; there is not a road on the West side. The school site will start at North Utica in this area. The North West site is west of Loop 289 and Hwy 84 right on the Lubbock city limits.
