Abstract

The written thesis examines four case studies in order to identify a model which is most appropriate for the Lubbock Christian University campus. This model is based on the key issues of campus planning which are identified in the case studies. The written portion also includes a history of the events that led to the founding of the Church of Christ and the establishment of colleges and universities based on the Church's ideals. A current inventory of buildings on the campus is presented, as well as a history of the campus planning at LCU. Data will be gathered through an examination of campus and building plans, records in the Universities archives, as well as interviews with the President, members of the board, faculty and staff of LCU.
