Abstract
This document is a portrait of three successful university saxophone studio professors: Professor David Dees from Texas Tech University, Dr. Nathan Nabb from Stephen F. Austin State University, and Dr. Eric Nestler from the University of North Texas. Information is provided on a range of topics related to university saxophone studio teaching including: educational and musical backgrounds, pedagogical approaches, and teaching philosophies.
