Description

The firms of Hampton, Bromhead managed Mersey until 1903 when J. Nourse purchased Mersey and continued its trade to India. In 1908, the White Star Line purchased Mersey for use as a cargo-carrying training ship for cadets. The year 1915 saw a Norwegian firm purchase Mersey and change its name to Dvergso. Dvergso was scrapped in 1923.
