Abstract
During the reporting period, both the United States Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit issued several significant employment-related decisions. Discusses these decisions in sequence by the various laws they interpret, including the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1866 Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Sarbanes Oxley Act," the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Texas common law, and the Federal Arbitration Act.
