Abstract

This article discusses juvenile proceedings in Texas from the perspective of state attorneys. It addresses how the procedures in Lubbock County in ordinary juvenile cases should be changed so that the true facts are reflected in the record. Additionally, the article explains how the emphasis in juvenile proceedings has been and will be rehabilitation and not punishment. Finally, the article analyzes the future of juvenile law in Texas and provides forms for juvenile proceedings in separate appendices.
