South Plains Army air field: History and documentation

This study identifies the importance of the South Plains Army Air Field as well as documenting the largest existing hangar. Importance of the army air field can be achieved using historical documents and military records. The documentation of the hangar will be through the use of a line of sight laser scanner, photographs, descriptions, and cad software. As a result of this work I expect to explain in more depth the history of the South Plains Army Air Field as well the importance of the BEM & I hangar. While the study will focus on both the history of the base and documentation of the hangar, the secondary adjective is to ensure that detailed documentation of the hangar is available to the public.
