Abstract
This comment provides an overview of the requirements of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process as outlined by Texas Education Agency (TEA) in the administrative code. It illustrates potential pitfalls Texas School Districts face during the ARD process and analyzes ways schools can achieve compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) standards. It includes a discussion of appropriate avenues of dispute resolution between local school districts and parents and avenues of relief like administrative remedies and appellate procedure. Overall, this comment provides an analysis of the procedures which must be followed in ARD meetings.
